Freebies for Kids With Good Report Cards

June 1, 2015

Who cares about the impact of good grades on your permanent record when they can add up to so much more in the here and now with this quick list of end-of-school-year freebies.

And don’t tell me you aren’t anticipating the final day with a mix of joy and dread. Some of you are already there while some of the rest of us are still working on last minute plans. On the plus side, perhaps some of these deals will help keep the kids out of our hair just a little while longer.

Baskin-Robbins: Participating stores offer a free scoop for a good report card. Call before you go to make sure your scoop shop does.

Chick-Fil-A (or as my wife calls it “Chicka Fila”) — Bring in a report card filled with A’s and B’s and your kid can get a free ice cream cone or a 8 pieces of chicken nuggets free at participating locations. Oy, as if the traffic wasn’t already bad enough around the new Western Washington locations…. (Thanks to Stay At Home Moms ).

Burger King — Participating locations give a free hamburger or ice cream cone all year long when your kid gets 100% on a test, according to The Life You Live. You can only get 1 burger per week per child.

Chuck E. Cheese — Good grades earn game tokens. 15 tokens per child with purchase. At participating stores.

Cold Stone Creamery — A straight A report card yields free ice cream for kids from kindergarten to fifth grade.

Justice Stores — $5 off purchase with a good report card.

Krispy Kreme — Participating locations offer a free donut for an “A”. The number of donuts you can earn varies per store. Call before you go because some Seattle locations have never even heard of this program.

McDonald’s  — Participating locations offer a free Happy Meal for kindergarten through 5th graders who get a straight A report card and a Value Meal for 6-12 graders. All of which begs the question, since when did kindergarteners start getting letter grades?

The Melting Pot–Participating locations offer a free kids meal with purchase of an adult dinner for members of the restaurant’s straight A club for elementary and middle school kids.

Pizza Hut — Get a free personal pan pizza and small soda or milk if you have three As. Elementary and middle school students. Participating location.

Sbarro — Any elementary school student with As and Bs on their report card automatically becomes a PizzAchiever and is eligible to receive a free slice of cheese or pepperoni pizza and a small soda. The cool thing about this one is that an accompanying adult gets the same deal. Thanks to Coupon WAHM.

Wendy’s–Get a free treat with a report card featuring As and Bs.
