More Big Bag Deals at Bergman

February 19, 2015

photoI know, I know. Even with the mild spring-like weather, it’s hard for most people to even start thinking of summer travel, but I forgot to mention one great big bag deal that you might want to consider snapping up before it goes away.

It seems that Victorinox, the same folks who brought you the Swiss Army Knife, are in the process of closing out a line of luggage called Werks Traveler because the company no longer wants to offer a lifetime, unconditional warranty on its bags. As a result, the company has been slashing prices since late last year. So, now there are some great deals to be had while supplies last…at least at some area Bergman Luggage stores, especially the one at Northgate.

How good?

Here’s what the Northgate store had when I left today:

A 20″ 4 wheel bag that originally sold for $349 selling for $229.

A 22″ 2 wheeled bag that used to sell for $329.88 going for $214.88

A 24″ upright suitcase normally $369.99 for $239.88

A 27″ four-wheeled spinner that used to sell for $439 selling for $279.88

A wheeled duffle originally at $369 for $239.

I don’t want to sound like an ad here because I’m not getting paid to post this, but these are great deals with no strings attached. You don’t have to trade in a bag, bring in a coupon or stand on your head and sing “God Bless Vespucci-land.” You just have to show up and buy them.

And they all have unlimited warranties covering anything the airlines can dish out. The price is only slightly more expensive than, say, lower quality bags that don’t hold up as well. And far less than the few other bags that have unlimited warranties.

If you are in the market for a bag and you do take advantage of this deal, please tell them that David Volk sent you. And then tell me if you end up buying a bag.

Just remember, quantities are extremely limited and you should call before you go.

Or just stop in and say hi.
