Free Health Care Clinic At Key Arena 10/23-26

October 15, 2014

Obama Care may have brought affordable health care to more people than had it before, but there are still folks who are falling through the cracks because they still can’t afford to see a doctor until things get really bad. Fortunately, there are occasional events like this one coming up next week that can help out until things get better.

The information I have says that more than 50 health, human service and civic organizations from all over the state will be coming together to produce the Seattle/King County Clinic with Remote Area Medical from Oct. 23-26 and provide a wide range of FREE dental, medical and vision care to those who can’t typically afford it (which it refers to as “underserved populations”). Although it lists the date, it doesn’t list a time. So, if you’re interested in this, you’ll probably want to get there early.

Really early.

At the same time, there will be a FREE resource fair at the Seattle Center Armory on the 25th and 26th that’s designed to help individuals and families find health, social service and human service providers that might be able to help them with continuing needs. It’s called HealthFest and its offerings will include free flu shots, nutrition demonstrations and help navigating the world of health care insurance.

It isn’t often the Cheap Bastard lists cheap medical stuff, but when he does, you can bet it’s going to be something good. Like this.
