See Smith Tower for 25 Cents This Weekend

One of the great ironies of going to the Space Needle to see the Seattle skyline is that you get to see almost every part of the skyline except the coolest thing in it–the Space Needle.

Sure, you could pay $10 or more to hit the Space Needle and miss the star of the skyline or you could go to what was once the tallest building west of the Mississippi River, the Smith Tower, and see the Needle as well. And save about more than $9 in the process.

That’s because the Smith Tower down at 506 2nd Avenue is celebrating its 100th anniversary this weekend by offering trips to the observation deck on the 35th floor for the same price the building charged 100 years ago–25 cents.

The deal started on Friday and continues through Sunday.

Don’t miss your chance to see the Chinese Room and a 360 degree view of Seattle.
