Get Deals With Good Report Cards

May 21, 2014

imagesEvery day my son giddily runs up to me to tell me how many days are left before the end of school. Each time he does it, he smiles and laughs. And I do, too. At least on the outside. On the inside I’m yelling, “NOOOOOOO!Not yet.”

Now that the end is near, it’s a good time to remember there is one great perk at the end of the year…if your kid is a good student. The free deals he or she can get just by flashing their report card. And that’s good news for you, too, because the exercise will keep them busy cashing on while you run around like a chicken with your head cut off making last minute plans to keep them from killing each other and spending the entire summer telling you how bored they are.

Here’s what I’ve found so far:

Baskin Robbins: Participating stores offer a free scoop for a good report card.

Chuck E Cheese: Participating locations offer free tokens for good grades on report cards.

Krispy Kreme: Your kid can get a donut for each A on the report card (for a maximum of 6). At participating locations. Call before you go.

McDonalds: Although what’s on offer varies, participating locations give a free Happy Meal to kids with straight A’s on their report cards.

Pizza Hut: Unlike most restaurant chains, Pizza Hut rewards good grades during report card time throughout the year. Any student who gets 3 A’s or equally good marks receives a Personal Pan pizza, a small soft drink or milk after presenting his or her report card to the manager.

Sbarro Pizza — Participating locations across the country recognizes students with A’s and B’s by making them members of its PizzAchievers! program and gives every PizzAchiever and accompanying adult a free slice of cheese or pepperoni pizza and a small soda.

If you’ve heard of any others, please let me know so I can list them.
