See “Metamorphases” Free This Weekend

February 28, 2014

SPT_YP_METAMOPHOSES_Flyer_v2Yes, that’s right. You can see a free play at Seattle Public Theater this weekend. It seems when most theater companies offer free performances it’s on an odd Wednesday, Tuesday or night when you’re just too busy to come, not at convenient times during the weekend like SPT is doing with its shows of “Metamorphoses.”

It is worth pointing out that the play is being put on by SPT’s Youth Program and that the actors are in grades 9 through 12, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be good. Heck, I have to admit that the only plays I’ve seen recently have been of the high school variety that also happen to feature someone who used to baby sit our kids and all of them have been amazing.

Performances are in the Bathhouse Theater at Green Lake, 7312 West Green Lake Drive N. in Seattle. Shows will be at 7 p.m. today and Saturday as well as Sunday at 2 p.m. and next Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
