Starbucks 12 Cent Coffee and Other 12th Man Deals

January 17, 2014

qn4jbX9N-1733-1733Wear Seahawks gear or colors to a participating Starbucks today in Washington state and you’ll get a 12 ounce cup of brewed coffee for just 12 cents.

Heck, if you play your cards right, you might even get a free sample of Starbucks new instant mocha or vanilla Via lattes and a sample of the same beverage made by a barista. If you can tell the difference, you get $1 off your espresso drink (12 coffee not included). The Cheap Bastard isn’t sure when all Starbucks will start the taste tests or how long they’ll go, but a Safeway near his children’s school is doing them from 11 to 1.

The one thing the Cheap Bastard is sure about, though. THE 12 CENT STARBUCKS DEAL IS DEFINITELY NOT AVAILABLE IN SAN FRANCISCO.

TAKE THAT, PEET’S.

And in case you’ve forgotten, here’s a roundup of other deals:

ALBERTSON’S–Wear Seahawks gear when you shop on game day and you get 10 percent off your bill (standard exclusions apply like alcohol, gift cards, lottery tickets, that sort of thing).

MUSEUM OF FLIGHT–Half off regular price admission to the museum for as long as the Seahawks are in playoffs. So, if they make it to the Superbowl, the deal will last all month.

WOODLAND PARK ZOO — Starting Saturday, folks wearing Seahawks gear get $3 off their admission for as long as the Seahawks are in the playoffs. And fans who are at the park on Saturday can watch the game in its entirety in the Rain Forest Food Pavilion even though it usually closes at 4 p.m.

BUMBERSHOOT — For every playoff game that the Seahawks win, Bumbershoot will cut the price of 3-day passes $12 for 24 hours after the game.

JERRY SPRINGER: THE OPERA AT SEATTLE THEATRE GROUP — All fans wearing Seahawks gear during this weekend’s showings of Jerry Springer will get 2-for-1 tickets to the performance.

and finally one that the Cheap Bastard isn’t quite sure about…

LAKE CITY GROCERY OUTLET — Early in the regular season this store offered 12 percent off your total bill if you shopped while the game was on (half time stop, any one?) with $30 minimum purchase.
