Woodland Park Zoo Half Off Today

January 8, 2014

photo3634 Considering how much it rains in Seattle, you would think more people would know about the Half Off Rainy Day Special at Woodland Park Zoo, but the truth is that most have never heard of it. The Cheap Bastard would like to change that now.

In case you’re not familiar with the program, the zoo occasionally offers half off regular admission based on weather forecasts and expected attendance. Now, I don’t know if you’ve looked out your window yet, but I’ll give you a hint–it’s not real dry out there. As a result, the rainy day discount. All you need is the coupon to take advantage of the deal.

The Woodland Park Zoo doesn’t offer the deal every rainy day, of course. If it did, it would probably go broke some time around mid February. And the CB would go crazy trying to keep up.

The best way to find out if the zoo is offering a rainy day discount is to go to the Rainy Day Discount page on the zoo’s website or, if you’re too lazy to do that every rainy day, you can go to the page and sign up for text alerts.

And, just in case you were wondering, a regular adult admission is $12.75 and kids 3 to 12 get in for $8.75. With the deal, adults get in for around $6.40 and kids for around $4.40.

Thanks to Thrifty NW Mom.
