What a great day if you’re a veteran, on active duty or in the military. So many freebies, so little time. Of course, if you sacrificed life and limb to defend the U.S…..well, a free meal at a restaurant barely begins to cover the thanks you’re owed, but it’s a good start.

BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse – Free lunch or mini-pizza for veterans.

Bob’s Burgers and Brew – Free meal for veterans.

Blue Moon Burger – Free burger for veterans.

Bluebird Ice Cream – Free scoop of ice cream for veterans.

C&P Coffee – Free cup of coffee for veterans.

Cactus – Free Appetizer for veterans.

California Pizza Kitchen–Any pizza on the menu.

Chili’s– Get a free entrée from a special menu.

Cloud City Coffee – Free cup of coffee for veterans at their new location in the Tennis Center at Sand Point.

Columbia Tower Club – Free access to the club 76 stories above the Seattle sidewalks to treat their spouse to dinner on Vets Day, space is limited contact the club and RSVP. (Vets must use a credit card for dinner purchase.)

Cupcake Royale – Free cupcake for veterans.

Deli Shez Cafe – 70% off entire menu.

Denny’s–Bottomless stack of buttermilk pancakes from 6 a.m to 2 p.m. Wow, a bottomless stack. How does it sit down?

Dicks – Free burger, fries, and soda for veterans.

Einstein Bros Bagels–Free bagel and a shmear.

El Diablo – Free cup of coffee for veterans.

Emerald City Smoothie – Free smoothie for veterans. (Queen Anne location only).

Famous Daves BBQ– Free entrée in Everett, Puyallup, Silverdale, Tacoma and Tukwila.

Golden Corral–Free buffet 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. I have an Uncle in Florida who loves this one.

Grumpy D’s Coffee House – Vets get a free cup of coffee.

Ikea–Free entrée.

Krispy Kreme–Free donut and small coffee.

La Isla – Free empanadillas, and with the purchase of a menu item, half price on anything of equal or lesser value on the menu all day. In Redmond, too.

Little Caesar–Free crazy bread. That bread just makes the CB C-razzzzzyyyyyy!

The Lucky Diner – Free dinner for veterans.

The Melting Pot–Free chocolate fondue dessert with purchase at Bellevue, Seattle and Tacoma.

Menchie’s–Free cup of frozen yogurt.

Olaf’s – Free appetizer for veterans.

Olive Garden–The CB doesn’t know what’s on the special menu, but he can tell you that you can eat free from it. Also, family members who eat with you get 10 percent off.
Outback Steakhouse–Free Bloomin Onion and soft drink.

Queen Anne Cafe – Free breakfast/lunch until 2:30pm for veterans.

Red Lobster–Free appetizer.

Red Robin–Free double burger and bottomless steak fries. Once again, the Cheap Bastard wonders how they can keep the fries on the plate if they don’t have a bottom.
