Seattle Restaurant Week Returneth

Unknown-3The idea that beauty is in the eye of the beholder is nothing new. The same is true for a bargain. What may be cheap for one person, may not be for another. The Cheap Bastard is typically happy to get out of a restaurant for $7-10 a person. His ideal is $5 and his idea of perfection is free, but he doesn’t mind a splurge now and then.

He especially loves a splurge when it’s cheap. Like going to one of the restaurants participating in Seattle Restaurant Week (10/13-10/10/17, 10/20-10/24) where you can get a three course meal at some of the city’s favorite, high end restaurants for $28. Granted, we’re not talking Canlis or anything like that, but we are talking about How to Cook a Wolf, El Gaucho-Seattle, Eva and dozens of others.

Having just returned from a weekend in Victoria where he and his wife took their kids out for a prince and princess high tea at The Empress, however, the CB is more likely to opt for a three-course lunch for $15 at one of the participating restaurants that do lunch, which is an even better deal…even if it is more than he usually spends for lunch.
