Save Big Bucks on Books at Today’s Seattle Library Book Sale

September 21, 2013

610x1400_26While Spain has the running of the bulls, Seattle has the running of the book lovers and, if you think about it, both events are equally dangerous. Of course, it’s dangerous to get in the way of a running bull, but it may be just as dangerous to get in front of a book lover running through the doors at this sale, especially if said book lover also happens to open a used book store.

Like it or not, this annual sale is where many used book store owners get books to stock their shelves. So why not cut out the middle man and grab a bunch of good reads yourself for far less than they’d charge this weekend?

Best of all, the sale has returned to the hangar at Magnuson Park (7400 Sand Point Way NE) where the Friends of the Library really get a chance to spread out the collection and show you their wares. It runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 11 to 4 Sunday. Most books are $1-$2 today and will be half price on Sunday.

Be there or be….less literate.
