If you’re a music lover, cheap CDs at today’s Friends of the Public Library Book Sale may be hard to beat in terms of savings, but the Seattle Symphony has found a way to do it by offering a day full of live performances FREE!

Yes, you saw that right. Sunday (9/22) is the Seattle Symphony’s Free Day of Music at Benaroya Hall featuring performances from a wide variety of acts in a wide variety of music styles ranging from street performers and Native American artists to hip hop and classical.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with performances on multiple stages throughout the building (free) as well as food trucks lined up along 2nd Avenue (not free). If you’re a parent with young kids, though, you’ll want to get there an hour early so your kids can enjoy a day filled with family activities being offered at Soundbridge Seattle Symphony Musical Discovery Center starting at 10 a.m.
