The Return of Starbucks Treat Receipts (and some alternatives)…

July 15, 2013

Another sign of summer: the return of Starbucks Treat Receipts program where you buy your favorite beverage in the morning and get a receipt that allows you to buy a cold grande beverage after 2 p.m. the same day for just $2. At participating stores, of course.

The program is back for the summer from today, July 15th, to August 18th. If only there were a participating Burger King near your favorite Starbucks, you could get a treat for you and the kids because participating BKs are offering 50 cent cones through August 5th.

If you’re a North Seattleite who wants an afternoon blast of caffeine for cheap, but don’t want to have to buy a more expensive beverage in the morning, there are other options.

Cafe Allegro in the Roosevelt Whole Foods has a happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. when 16 ounce lattes are available for $2 (no additional purchase required).

On Wednesdays, the Bryant Corner Cafe has 16 ounce lattes for $2 all day. No additional purchase required, but the cafe will close after 2 p.m. until it gets its liquor license.
