Cheap Bastard Meet Tomorrow

April 15, 2013

Now that tax day is finally here and you’ve either filed or are busy figuring out how much you owe to the IRS, the CB is willing to bet that it probably stung enough that you’re wishing you could find ways to save to make up for it. Of course, you tell yourself this every year and the sting fades with time. You know you’re still going to go out to restaurants, attend movies, watch plays and go to concerts and pay full price.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. The problem can be just figuring out where to start.

The Cheap Bastard wants to help put you on the right path and what better day to start than the day after the income tax filing deadline?

That’s why he’s holding his second Cheap Bastard meet up from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 16th at Third Place Books. Those who attend will not only learn a few cool ways to save some money that they might have missed, but they’ll also get a chance to share some of their favorites with the crowd.

Who knows,? Some of them just might end up in the new edition of the Cheap Bastard’s Guide to Seattle.

The Cheap Bastard knows this is the last minute, so he’s aware that there’s a chance no one will show up or a whole bunch of people might make it. And hes fine with that. If no one shows, he’ll be at a table at the  Commons at Third Place Books working on the new edition of the book. And if you stop by, you’ll get to see the writing process in action and even learn a bout a few new deals. Or you can come and share a few ideas.

Remember, the person with the best Cheap Bastard idea tomorrow, gets a wonderfully kitschy prize and possible mention in the book.

The Cheap Bastard looks forward to meeting you….if you show up.

Are there any day after tax day deals/freebies?

The CB bets if you attend the Cheap Bastard tonight you’ll hear of some. Unfortunately, the CB is so busy updating the book and playing traffic cop during break from school that there’s not enough time to post if he ever wants to get some sleep.
