The Cheap Bastard doesn’t understand it. He ate Ikea meatballs yesterday and now his throat feels a little hoarse. The CB is sorry. He just couldn’t resist. These are the jokes folks. And these are the deals:

HELL FREEZES OVER, YOU GET FREE CHILI — It may already be too late for this one, but what the hell? In case you missed it, Hell froze over. Hell, Michigan, that is. Since the temperature went below freezing in that picturesque city, Red Robin is observing the event by giving away free chili to its first 100 customers in participating locations today only (2/26). Based on what the CB is seeing, purchase is required because you have to request it from your server when ordering.

AN AMAZON RECORD DEAL–Yes, the CB knows that calling anything a record shows how old he is, but so be it. Today only, Amazon has 20 CDs, MP3s, albums, 8 tracks or whatever the heck you call them available for just $1.99 each. Most of them are the typical yawners, but a few are more current including Bruno Mars “Unorthodox Jukebox” Macklemore & Ryan Lewis “The Heist.” Hey, it’s better than going to a thrift shop, even if you have $20 in your wallet….

BECOME A FRIEND, GET FREE DONUTS–Join the Friends of Krispy Kreme between now and March 4th and you’ll get a coupon good for a dozen free original glazed donuts at participating locations. Thanks Krazy Koupon Lady.

DON’T JUST SIT AROUND, DINE AROUND–It’s almost here! Dine Around Seattle starts on Sunday, the weekend of the Cheap Bastard’s birthday, and he couldn’t be more excited because it means that there are 46 restaurants around Seattle where he can go this month to get a three course dinner for $30 or lunch for $15. Not too shabby, considering the regular price at most of restaurants like Ray’s Boathouse, The Georgian, Barking Frog and the Steelhead Diner. If you haven’t already, you may want to make reservations to make sure you get to go to the restaurant you want. The deal is good Sunday through Thursday, March 3-28th. Reservations not required, but recommended.
