Northwest Trek: Kids Get in Free With Adult Admission This Weekend

February 17, 2013

kids-n-critter-2013_ssDon’t say it. The Cheap Bastard knows he hasn’t posted since Valentine’s Day, which really isn’t long when you think about it, but he’s been a bit busy. The publisher of his book, The Cheap Bastard’s Guide to Seattle, has expressed interest in doing a new edition on short turnaround and the CB has been trying to clear the decks to make sure he has time to do it. If he does it, postings may be a bit thin through mid-May. Others may be late.

Like this one.

Northwest Trek, the wildlife park in Eatonville, WA, is celebrating an event it calls Kids ‘N’ Critters, by offering free admission for kids up to 12 with the purchase of an adult admission. If the CB reads it right, you can get up to four kids in free with each adult admission.

This year’s edition of the annual event will focus on trees and will feature tree-themed arts and crafts as well as 30 minute tram rides for the first 1,500 visitors and two trailside encounters with wild animals.

You don’t have to take the CB’s word for it, though. You can get the details at NW Trek’s Web site. The CB hopes to go today after breakfast. Who knows? Maybe he’ll see you there.
