Two Nights With Portland’s Painted Lady $165

January 9, 2013

Unknown-4No, it’s not some sort of cheap and tawdry deal for two one-night stands. It’s a deal on a two night stay at a Victorian Inn near Portland’s Pearl District and the place just happens to be called A Painted Lady. The CB isn’t sure why, but he’s pretty sure he doesn’t want to know.

Be that as it may, the Painted Lady is across the Willamette River from the Pearl and, if you must know, Groupon says that the phrase painted lady is an architectural term referring to a Victorian house with a multi-colored outside that “helps enhance the details of the facade.” Maybe they added stripes. Or black. The CB hears that Black is slimming. Regardless, the place was built in 1894 and has just a few rooms. The Groupon deal would be for two nights in a Den, Guest Room or Suite for $165 ($268 value) and you could buy two vouchers for a four-night stay. You must book by March 8 and travel by April 30th.

Not valid Feb. 14th.
