Amazon Offering Many MP3 Albums for $5 Each

December 26, 2012

amazon-5albums12-25-12The CB remembers the day when the only way to get an album for $5 was to go to the discount rack and buy the cutouts. Right now, Amazon is doing something similar. It’s selling 2,000 albums for $5 each (or less). It’s a mix of old and new including the best of Queen, the best of Elton John and even Bruno Mars’ Doowops and Hoolingans (that one for just $3.99).

There’s no packaging, you don’t have to go to the store to get it and you can start playing it within minutes of purchase.

How can you beat that?

There is one way, of course. As Thrifty NW Mom points out, you can join the Scott Shared Values Program and get the $5 free Amazon credit and get one of the $5 mp3s for nothing.

Not too shabby.

Savings to date: $23,421.05
