Gardens, Guns and Burlesque

December 10, 2012

garden-and-gunYep, it looks like the week is off to a slow start, at least deal-wise, which is fine by the Cheap Bastard. During the weekend, he’s got way too much going on, especially this time of year. So, right now, he’s got an eclectic mix of deals, but he expects the list to grow. He just won’t get a chance to add to it until this evening. So, here goes.

Garden & Gun–No, this isn’t some sort of weird Living Social package deal where you do target practice on Gladys Kravitz’s petunias. Instead, it’s a deal for a great magazine about southern culture which, you guessed it, is focused on both. The Cheap Bastard’s alter ego, David Volk, thinks so highly of it that he’s been trying to get an assignment from the mag for years. Right now, you can get a year subscription to the Magazine through the Krazy Coupon Lady for $3.99 ($49.50 value). It’s such a great deal even the CB is considering it.

More Than Half Off Burlesque–Um, no, that doesn’t mean more clothes are coming off. Instead, it means that you can get a great deal for Can Can Kitchen and Cabaret at the Pike Place Market for a cabaret, concert or comedy show for one, two or four people starting at $19 ($45 value) thanks to Groupon.

Savings to date: $20,767.04

I love Garden & Gun magazine – it is such a beautiful and well-done magazine – and keeps this displaced-southerner in the loop on goings-on at home. I needed to update my subscription – thanks for the deal posting!
