Chinook and Entertainment Books: All These Coupons And a Price Break, Too

December 6, 2012

entertainmentIf you aren’t using Chinook or Entertainment Books, you’re missing out on some great savings. Granted, Chinook typically costs $20 and Entertainment $35, but you can easily make that back in savings on coffee and fast food alone and that doesn’t even include all of the services. Heck, the Cheap Bastard knows he’s going to recover much of what he spent on the Entertainment Book when he uses his QFC coupons for holiday food shopping.

The key differences between the two are size and content. Entertainment features lots of deals from national companies as well as smaller local firms, especially restaurants and it has hundreds of coupons. The Chinook Book focuses on more locally-based, environmentally friendly businesses. As a result, Chinook has fewer coupons, but a lot of deals you won’t find in the Entertainment Book. One of the CB’s favorites are the free rides on Metro buses and the free walk on passenger fare for a Washington State Ferry with the purchase of a full fare passenger ticket.

That’s the good news. The even better news is that both books are on sale right now.

The Eco-friendly Chinook book is on sale for $17 including shipping through the end of the year, according to Seattle Mom’s Dealfinder<.

The Entertainment Book has an even bigger deal going. For starters, the Entertainment Book Web site is advertising that all of its coupon books are on sale for $19.99 with free shipping now through Dec. 12th. And a $15 savings is pretty good, but Hip2Save has found a way to make it better. Buy it through ShopAtHome.com and you can get a book for $11.99 shipped.

Just go to ShopAtHome.com, get an account, hit the “shop now” button to find your way to Entertainment.com, select “Order Your Book Now,” type in zip code at the prompt and purchase the book for $19.99. Within a month, you’ll get a refund of 40% (around $8) in your account at ShopAtHome.com. Once you’ve purchased enough items through ShopAtHome to get $20 in your account, you’ll get a check for…$20.
