It’s Jim’s Day at Red Robin And A Reason to Feel Miserables

December 4, 2012

Is your name Jim, Jim Bob, Jimmy Jo, James or do you live on James Street? If so, today is your day…at Red Robin that is. And if you play your cards right, you might even get a free pass for Les Miserables, a free toasted cookie, reduced greens fees, a discounted admission to the Space Needle and a Buy One, Get One free deal at Pei Wei. Of course, most people not named Jim are also eligible for most of these as well. Just not the Red Robin deal.

Confused?

Let’s make things even murkier by starting with the movie deal first.

Don’t Be Miserables–Today only, Banana Republic stores are offering a free voucher to see Les Miserables at participating theaters by Jan. 31, 2013. The movie looks to have the same epic quality as the play only with a bigger cast. Of course, we’ve seen movies like these flop right out of the gate before, but it looks good to the CB. According to Hip2Save, the voucher is said to be worth up to $10 on the purchase price of a movie ticket and is available on a first come-first served basis (because they can’t give you what they don’t have). Hip also says there’s no word that purchase is required so you may be able to grab it and go. UPDATE: When the CB called the U Village Banana Republic, he was told no purchase was necessary, but when he got there the person who spoke to on the phone told them a purchase was necessary. So, apparently, your results may vary from moment to moment. Guess he won’t be shopping at Banana Republic again any time soon despite having a Banana Republic sports jacket and suit.

Unknown-4Red Robin Loves You, JimIf you either have some variation of Jim in your name or you live on James Street and there’s a Red Robin nearby, you’re in luck today (1/4) because the participating restaurants in the chain are offering a free Sweet Jim Beam Bacon Swiss Burger all day to you, Jimbo. How lucky is that?

Jim Want a Cookie?–And if you want to round out the meal with dessert, you can stop by a participating Quizno’s and get a free oven-toasted cookie today only (12/4) in celebration of National Cookie Day. Of course, you will have to buy something to get it, but that thing could always be dinner tonight or lunch for tomorrow. Today only (12/4). Thanks Hip2Save

Good News, Bad News Pee WeePei Wei Asian Diner is also offering a nice deal. A buy one, get one free when you watch a this video. That’s the good news. The bad news is that there isn’t a Pei Wei within a 150 miles of Washington state, but the CB knows he has readers outside Washington and he liked the deal.

Work It Off On the LinksAnd if your name is Jim and you’ve already celebrated your luck with lunch, why not extend the celebration with a round half price round of golf available through Living Social and GolfHub.com where $50 will get you $100 worth of greens fees and tee times at hundreds of courses throughout the country? In Washington, that includes courses like Sumner Meadows, Tri-Mountain, Alderbrook, Palouse Ridge and Allenmore. It’s good for a year. There’s a limit of four per person with four more as gifts.

Space Needle BOGO–Of course, if you’re cashing in on your Jim-ness at dinner time and it’s too late to hit the links, you can always take advantage of Bartell’s Space Needle BOGO deal where you’ll get a free adult ticket ($19 value) with the purchase of an adult ticket for the Observation Deck. Or you could buy one adult ticket and use the discount on two youth tickets (value $24). All you need to do is get a voucher from your local Bartell Drugs. The vouchers are good through Dec. 30th. Thanks to Queen Bee Coupons.

Savings to date: $20,142.20.
