Ashland Two Night Getaway for $165

November 30, 2012

RackMultipart20121115-31027-q8cbry_wideHave you ever gone to Ashland during the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and said to yourself, “I love this town so much that I’d love to come back after the festival is over and just enjoy the place when things are much more quiet”?

Me neither.

Then again, the Cheap Bastard has never been to Ashland, but would love to go and this Groupon deal could push him in that direction. For just $165 ($338 value), you could spend two nights in a Parlor Suite at the Plaza Inn and Suites in this quaint little Oregon town when it isn’t over-run by Bard-ophiles or whatever it is that Shakespeare lovers are called and you won’t have to hear wanna-be actors saying things like “Forsooth!” whatever that is. You’ll also be near Mount Ashland where you can go snow-boarding or skiing.

And, if you really need a theater fix, don’t despair, there will be performances of Taming of the Shrew, My Fair Lady and Two Trains Running in early February.

In case you’re wondering, a parlor suite includes one king bed and one sofa bed or two queen beds and one sofa bed. Kids stay free.

Fine print: Must book by Jan. 25th and travel by Feb. 28. Limit 1 per person, 1 per visit. You can buy one additional as gift. If you only have one day, you can do the deluxe room.

Savings to date: $20,045.20
