Stay near the Pike Place Market for $79 a Night

November 12, 2012

For years now, the Cheap Bastard has known about this little pensione on First near the Pike Place Market that he’s always been curious about , but never had the time to visit. Not only that, but it turns out he knows a relative of the owner, but still hasn’t stopped in.

Now that he’s seen this Living Social Deal for Pensione Nichols, he’s definitely considering at least a drive-by gawking. After all, $79 ($145 value) a night is unheard of. In fact, the only way you can even get close is to stay at the Green Tortoise Hostel, but then you’d have to share a dorm room with eight or so of your closest friends.

At the Pensione, you can get a one-night stay for two in a boutique guest room (with shared bath) then start your day with a breakfast featuring fresh fruit, corn bread, coffee cake and French Press coffee from a breakfast room with killer waterfront views. Or, if you want to splurge, you could get a guest suite for up to four folks with a kitchenette, private bath and a view for $149. (That’s $37.50 a person!)

Either way, you’ll be right in the heart of Downtown Seattle and within walking distance of some of the city’s favorite attractions. Best of all, you can combine vouchers and get up to a seven-day stay.

Fine print: Valid for travel between Oct. 1, 2012-April 30, 2013. Children allowed. Guest rooms can accommodate up to three people, $15 for additional person. Guest room shave shared bathroom, Pets allowed and require a one-time pet fee of $15. Not available Dec. 31.

Savings to date: $18,925.22
