Creole Cooking Class for 2 for $40

November 9, 2012

The Cheap Bastard is beginning to detect a trend here. It started with the really high end restaurants, but now mid-level ethnic restaurants are cashing in, too, offering all sorts of cooking lessons.

It used to be you couldn’t even consider getting a cooking class for less than $40 or $50, but thanks to the increased number of restaurants that are offering lessons and the daily deal sites, the prices occasionally drop as low as $20. Like this Google Offer deal for a New Orleans and Creole cooking class for two people at Marcela’s Creole Cookery for just $40 (a $100 value).

Take advantage of this deal and you’ll end up learning to cook Creole style and prepare four courses in two hours at a place that’s gotten the thumbs up from the likes of the Seattle Times and Food Network Magazine.

Fine print: Buy through the 23rd. Redeem by May 6, 2013. Limit 1 per person, purchase multiples as gifts. Valid for one two-hour cooking class. Classes available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 6:45 pm and Saturday at 12:30 pm.

Savings to date: $18,859.22
