Welcome Summer With Living Social Lodging Deals

June 20, 2012

Now that the Cheap Bastard is no longer playing tour guide (long story), he and his family suddenly find themselves with all their summer weekends free. Or, at least, some of them anyway. And now, he’s starting to pay attention to Living Social’s lodging deals. And there are a couple of good ones right now.

The Governor Hotel in Olympia is offering a romantic escape to Olympia, a town that screams romance (okay, maybe not so much) with two nights in a Grand King Room complete with a bottle of Washington wine, chocolate truffles, a two-for-one dinner at Adesso and two-for-one tickets to Harlequin Productions for $174 or $87 a night (a $348 value). Seriously, while Olympia may not sound all that romantic views from the Grand King Rooms are. YOu can see Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

Of course, if you want to be able to tell friends you went out of the country for some romance, than Living Social has a deal for a getaway to Sooke on Vancouver Island. You’ll get a two-night stay in a garden view room at the Best Western Premier-Prestige Oceanfront Sooke Sunday through Thursday, a $50 spa credit for Ocean Palm Spa and a $50 dining credit for Mix by Ric’s restaurant. It’s a $452 value for only $271. Of course, there are other options with this package. You could stay on Friday and Saurday for $316. Or you could do a stay in an ocean view room for $447 during the week or $511 on weekends. Although those deals aren’t as good. No matter which you choose, you can buy two vouchers and use them back-to-back. You must make reservations by Aug. 25. Blackout dates June 29, 30, July 1, Aug. 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12. (All prices are US).

Savings to date: $9,043.09
