Seattle’s Hard Rock Cafe Offers Rain Happy Hour

April 4, 2012

One of the great things about being a Pike Place Market tour guide is that it gives the Cheap Bastard a chance to discover deals he wouldn’t otherwise see if he weren’t pounding the pavement in downtown Seattle.

The Hard Rock Cafe’s Rain Happy Hour is a good example. Although the CB isn’t necessarily a Hard Rock fan, he does like the idea of a restaurant offering Happy Hour prices whenever it rains. At the Hard Rock that means half off of most of its starters including Nachos, Wings, Potato Skins and Chicken Tenders, most of which end up costing around $6 each during Happy Hour. That means Nachos are $5.50, Tupelo Chicken Tenders $5.25, Spring Rolls $5.25, Chicken Wings 5.25.

And that’s not too shabby for a restaurant that is known for catering to the tourist trade no matter where it is.

Hey there, thanks for the mention! We think you’ll not only enjoy our When it rains, we pour happy hour on the 2nd floor, but hope you’ll come on by some time when the sun is shining – if for no other reason than to check out the rooftop patio.

Hey Stephanie, I couldn’t get a copy of the menu with prices. Is there any chance you could pass those along so I can share them with people who read the blog? Thanks. And please feel free to tell your fans about the blog and the book, “The Cheap Bastard’s Guide to Seattle.”

Yes of course. You’ll find the menu at this link:

Thanks again. Congrats on the book as well!
