Lakeside Rummage Sale This Weekend
It used to be the granddaddy of all rummage sales and the real launch of garage sale season, but for some reason the Lakeside School Rummage Sale has faded from the headlines. Maybe it’s because so many other schools have to do fundraisers now, maybe it’s because it’s been overtaken by Craigslist or maybe because….um, well, the Cheap Bastard isn’t quite sure.
Regardless, the Cheap Bastard wanted you to know that the Lakeside School Spring Rummage Sale is this weekend, from 9 to 4 on Saturday and 9 to noon on Sunday. The sale will be at the Lakeside Upper School Campus, 14050 1st Avenue NE.
If the notice is too short on this one, the Cheap Bastard would like to suggest a rummage sale that’s near and dear to his heart for next weekend. The Experimental Education Unit, a developmental school that does an amazing job working with kids of all abilities, is holding its first ever rummage sale, Saturday, March 31 from 9 to Noon at the corner of 15th Avenue and Pacific Street in Seattle.
Since the CB’s kids love the EEU, he wanted to let you know about the school in its own words: “At the EEU, all programs promote the development of children’s cognitive, motor, communication, and social interaction skills by means of educational and therapeutic interventions most appropriate for each child. These programs always include typically developing children and children with various developmental delays or disabilities.”
Suffice it to say, it’s an amazing program and it could really use your support.

Can’t find anything on the web mentioning that the Experimental Education Unit is having a rummage sale?!?!?!? Can you direct me to such findings!
Unfortunately, I don’t think they’ve posted anything about it, but you can probably get more information by calling the school at (206) 543-4011
